My name is Mark Gomez, and I’m the founder of The Lower. Growing up in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, my style was shaped by the vibrant community around me. The neighborhood I’ve called home for my entire life has witnessed both growth and change, and it’s from this dynamic backdrop that the brand draws its name.

As a kid, my personal style was heavily influenced by my peers, expressing itself through streetwear and urban fashion. I still remember my go-to outfit: Uptowns paired with baggy True Religion jeans and a Biggie coat.

Like the changing seasons, my style has evolved. Today, I’m drawn to classic, timeless pieces, garments that effortlessly pair with anything, while also embracing a more refined and elevated approach to urban menswear.
